Ferran Torres

Ferran Torres was born on 29^th February 2000 in Foios, Valencia. From an early age, he became very much passionate about playing football. He began with futsal in the EPLA school. And then from there he gradually attracted the notice of the Valencia CF academy. At the age of seven, he wore a jersey for the first time. From here he gradually began to become a star. He was so much talent in the game that in a very short span of time he became a member of Valencia’s first team. On December 16, 2017, Torres made his Liga debut. It was against Eibar. This also made him the first player of this century to appear in the competition. But a few days prior to this, which was on November 30^th, he already had made his official debut in Copa del Rey. It was a game against Zaragoza.

This Spanish forward quickly adapted to the life of competing against the elite players and teams. He began to improve his game as per the international standards. With every season, his role in the team began to get bigger and bigger making him the indomitable and the dependent one. During the second half of the season in the year 2017/18 and then in 2018/19 and also in 2019/2020, he had already scored nine goals in the ninety-seven appearances that he made.

The season proved to be very beneficial for him. It had attracted the attention of Pep Guardiola and Manchester City. After he had spent his whole career in Valencia, Torres made his move to the Premier League. And from being a winger, his position changed to centre forward. During his tour in England, he became famed as a goalscorer. During his first season in 2020/21, he scored 11 goals in 30 games. This made the Sky Blues win the league and the League Cup as well.

With the Citizens, Torres began his second season during the year 2021/22. There he made four appearances and scored two goals as well. then finally on December 2021, Torres made a move to FC Barcelona. When he arrived at Barca, from the very first match he became one of the important players for the Blaugrana attack. Although he mostly occupied the left wing but gradually, he began to occupy the three forward positions. In that season, people saw him becoming the third top scorer. Torres has a great ability and the versatility to adapt to any attacking position. His intelligence in the field and the ability to quickly read the game and the spaces make him stand out. Not only that but Torres also has great technical and associative quality as well. He can use both his legs equally well to send the ball to the goalpost. This Valencian player is also well known for his characteristics of having speed and skill that makes him stand out. Another of his many qualities is his finishing. He is perfect to send the ball to the goalpost from the opponent’s penalty area.  Undoubtedly Torres is a bunch of talent and has every ability to improve his game further.
